Abstract
Agribusiness is one of the most dynamic economy branches in modern Ukraine. But the structure of export and the share of value added in agricultural products indicate a low level of capitalization of the agrarian enterprises, which is caused by extremely weak motivations for investing. The reason is the restriction on the access to land resources through the land market. The transparent and competitive land markets have become an urgent necessity in Ukraine not only due to the reform plan agreed with the EU, but also because its absence violates one of the main components of freedom of agrarian enterprises. Without the opportunity to expand their land tenures through the purchase of land, Ukrainian farmers will not be able to develop small food industries, sell products with a high share of value added, and the national economy will remain focused on export of agricultural raw materials.
